Franklin Park, IL — Recent independent tests conducted by Consumer Reports and the Maximum Performance (MaP) Testing Program revealed that toilet models equipped with FLUSHMATE® pressure-assist operating systems demonstrated outstanding overall performance compared to other models. "Pressure-assist toilets dispatched our simulated solid waste with the fewest clogs, thanks to their powerful thrust," stated the Consumer Report article, which appeared in the magazine’s August 2005 issue. Four out of the top five toilets ranked by Consumer Reports for overall performance were equipped with FLUSHMATE.

In separate results from MaP Testing, conducted by Veritec Consulting, Inc. and Koeller and Company, two of the top five toilet models ranked by performance were equipped with FLUSHMATE. The MaP Testing Program is a cooperative effort between Canadian and American partners to identify how well popular toilet models perform using a realistic test media and to grade each toilet model based on this performance.

According to Consumer Reports, pressure-assist toilets are "Best for large families, kids and heavy use, where clogs are likeliest. [Pressure-assist] creates the most flushing power…."

Manufacturers with top-ranked pressure-assist models in the test reports include: Kohler, Gerber and American Standard. The innovative FLUSHMATE operating system uses air pressure from the vessel to complete a flush. As the vessel fills with water, the supply line pressure is used to compress the trapped air, which forces the water into the bowl with a specially designed jet at the entrance of the trapway. FLUSHMATE-equipped toilets also stay cleaner longer, due to a large water surface and vigorous flushing action.

As a supplier to leading toilet manufacturers, FLUSHMATE technology has been embraced in both commercial and residential marketplaces due to its superior performance and ability to conserve more water than any other water closet flushing mechanism. FLUSHMATE's OEM distribution includes American Standard, Capizzi, Ceralux, Eljer, Corona, Gerber, HCG, Kohler, Lamosa, Mancesa, Mansfield, Orion, Peerless, St. Thomas Creations, Vitra, Vitromex, Vortens and XINQI.
